Stacey Burbure is senior vice president, Transmission Regulatory Engagement & Compliance. She previously served as vice president, FERC and RTO Strategy and Policy and led AEP’s regulatory and policy efforts at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs).
Burbure joined AEP in 2019 as senior counsel in AEP’s legal department. Before joining AEP, Burbure also served as senior counsel to the North American Electric Reliability Corporation. Stacey began her career in the energy field in 2003 in private practice.
Burbure earned her bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College and her law degree from George Washington University Law School. She is a board member and former president of WIRES, a non-profit trade association focused on transmission.
